Siberian Chiffchaffs Lodmoor, Dorset, January 31st/February 1st 2009

...it was difficult to get a fix on exactly how many birds were present as there were a lot of comings and goings from the little dung heap that the birds were frequenting and we certainly weren't sure how many different birds we actually photographed; needless to say the birds remained resolutely silent throughout our observations so they couldn't really be recorded as anything other than putative Siberian Chiffchaffs. For comparison, here's a couple of the 'ordinary' Chiffchaffs that were there as well:
